$10.00
Introducing the Buffalo Gals Motorcycle Patch! This original, 9"x7.5", embroidered iron-on or sew-on women's patch is one-of-a-kind! Combining a western theme with the hard edge of the motorcycle lifestyle. Great for a jacket patch, vest patch, backpack patch, bag patch, jean patch, sweatshirt patch, denim patch, t-shirt patch, or just something fun to pin on a pin board. It's bright, intricate thread work will brighten up any apparel you adhere it to.

"Buffalo Gals" (or Girls) is an Old West term for women such as Calamity Jane, Annie Oakley and Belle Starr, just to name a few, who paved their own trail through a man's world and lived life how they wanted, and not how they were told to. It's a term I strive for every day. Be an original.

As the song goes..."Ohhhhh, Buffalo Gals Won't You Come Out Tonight, Come Out Tonight...."

And a little back story of how the patch came to be: I've always loved anything western. Growing up on a cattle and horse ranch I spent my days riding horse, throwing hay bales and mucking stalls. When I grew up and was living in the city, stuck in an office doing graphic design, I bought myself an "iron horse" because I figured that was the next best thing to riding horse. And thus started my new love of motorcycles and the adventures and freedom they provided.

I've also always loved patches. Patches of all sizes and colors. They are just so fun and always original. So, I took those 3 things and decided to combine them. And thus the Buffalo Gals patch came to fruition.

The patch has a heat activated adhesive on the back and is ready to be sealed with your iron (without steam). The Buffalo Gals embroidered patches can be ironed onto anything you can iron: shirts, jeans, hats, blouses, pants, skirts, etc.

Do not apply to rainwear (waterproof), highly elastic, rayon, nylon or tri-acetate fabrics. Once applied, applique is permanently attached to the garment.

Iron-on instructions for embroidered patches using an iron:

Step 1: Set your iron to a hot temperature setting. DO NOT USE STEAM DURING APPLICATION!

Step 2: Place embroidered patch in the desired position and place a Teflon sheet or cloth on top and between the patch and the iron.

Step 3: Press the iron straight down for 35-45 seconds with as much constant pressure as possible. NO BACK AND FORTH.

Step 4: Turn the garment inside-out and repeat steps 2 & 3.

Step 5: Allow the patch to cool down.

Side Note: The patch can also be simply sew'n onto a garment as well. And I would recommend putting in a few stitches where the swirl of the "B" comes off the patch. There is adhesive on the back on that part as well, but it is thin and if scratched or caught on something, could tear off. So adding a few stitches just to be on the safe side is recommended.
